Hope someone can figure out the artist. I give up LOL. Appears to be oil and crayon on paper. I’d guess 80s but can’t read the date. B1DEF043-C400-4D7A-89EC-FEDDF0DD1C3E.jpeg 13820A5F-7239-43A4-AFB0-EB36A518F902.jpeg

I think I answered my own question LOL. Do you all agree? Ali Fuat Icsel? Died 2011.

Tee hee. I was going to say that the artist's mother is missing this from the front of her fridge. ;)

I can't find anyone named Ali Furat Icsel, dead or alive. Assuming you were serious, could you share where you found this person?

I’m always serious when it comes to art. Typo-Ali Fuat Icsel…Looks like the same work to me. Obscure for sure and decorative only but I collect naive/primitive and like it a lot. I’d buy any kid on a fridge with his talent but that’s just my personal taste.

Yup-found him above. Looks like he’s gone since 2011. The oddest part to me is that he lived in Turkey. I would have guessed that was a SW mountain road scene. I just returned from New Mexico so that’s probably still in my head.

Lived and worked in Izmir, no? Might have been a souvenir as popular tourist destination.

TY. I couldn’t find the sig elsewhere but knew it was him as soon as I found that other work. Wonder if it was bought abroad or that he was in the US at some point?

I like this one a lot. Really like the guy…stumbled on it at an estate sale. They knew nothing.

I was sure it was the road to Los Alamos LOL. Only off by 6500 miles!

Many many thanks. I feel slightly vindicated LOL as there’s something very American to me about that specific scene compared to everything else I found on the internet so I find it interesting that he did study in the US.
