Assuming this little thing is a tea bowl? 2 and three quarter ins tall, 3 inch diameter. Chinese or could it be Japanese for Saki?
I’m a bit confused about the probable age of this because it looks so clean and new ish but it’s so thin you can see the design on the opposite side without even holding it up to the light. Newer stuff always seems thicker than this. The painting is rather fuzzy in places it’s not my photos. Couple of edge nibbles and two fine cracks in it unfortunately. Any info please? Thanks

Agree that it seems meant to be a tea bowl as that looks like camellia sinensis (the tea plant) on the bottom of the inside.
Other than that, I've got nothing for you as this isn't a collecting area for me. :)

That helps confirm it’s a tea bowl thanks. It’s very small so that got me thinking it might have been made when tea was expensive but I’m just guessing.

Don’t know Charlie, I never seem to be able to identify anything other than Japanese Satsuma and Kutani if it’s the red colour.
See lots of blue and white around in the Charity shops etc and I’ll pick it up and know if it’s new as it’s often light and bright but this little bowl is unusually small and so thin in it’s construction.
