chinese octagonal platter

    Does this look authentic to you? the mark seems to be off center for one thing:

    I'm pretty sure you need to rotate the pic of the mark 45 degrees clockwise if you plan to compare to marks in the Gotheborg data base.

    better view. Probably obvious it is a Qianlong type mark, probably mid 20th century or later.

    I agree with Sunday Silence Mid Century 1960's possibly decorated in Hong Kong.

    is the back stamp not centered properly or am I seeing things?

    For 1960 it is basically just a rubber stamp i think. I am not sure what the traditions are on positioning backstamps but by 1960 i am not sure it mattered so much, but it loosk about right. You close up picture has it in the right position.
