Featured 18ct white gold enamel earrings

Hello

i have these small 18ct white gold earrings. They are set with enamel with some gold detailing inside in the form of a rose but i cant remember what this technique is called.

 

They are probably Continental European, with that lever-back earhook.

 

I'd wear those..........pretty Bling !!!

 

I can't tell for sure from here on my little screen, I don't have very good resolution on those pictures. But... It looks like those blue cabochons are reverse carved glass. Not enamel.

That's my best guess! I hope someone else can figure it out pretty quick.

Pretty dainty little things. (no good for me - no holes, and I don't do dainty too well.) I think the roses are either embedded in the lucite, if they're metal, or reverse carved and painted.

 

Intaglio.

 

Intaglio is carved in from the front; this has to be the reverse since the tops are smooth.

 

Yup, but it can be reverse carved intaglio, hm?

 

But intaglio and reverse intaglio are two different things.
