    Hey folks, happy Saturday! :)

I've been shopping like crazy lately and I hope you don't mind I will be posting quite a few items in the coming days/weeks.
Picked up this gooooorgeous bowl in the thrift store and decided to post it here. I know it says French, but who actually made it is interesting. It's truly beautiful, pictures don't do justice. I spent hours cleaning it, it didn't look this new before hehe :)
No damage which is great. Height with lid approx. 17 cm (6.7 inches) and diameter approx. 20 cm (7.8 inches).

Thank you so much for your help!
    Erik

It's a nice piece. Not that old, however. It says, "Decore a main" which means hand decorated and you usually see that on pieces from the latter half of the 20th c. I suspect it's a blank made in France and decorated at another factory. Hopefully another member will help me out as I'm having a senior moment: there is a well know and quality French decorating atelier and the name starts with a "T." Taill...something? Gah!

It looks like Samuel Colt owned a tureen like yours too! Sorry I can't find a description of it, just pictures.

Oh thank you so much, so interesting! You are so good at finding stuff :)
Looks like mine is a copy made after them, but still a beautiful item I think considering I paid 9 euros for that :D
