FFF hallmark? Gold tie bar

    Hello

    I have this tie bar, gold coloured but im doubtful of the quality. Only mark is on the back, three F's, and another symbol i cant make out.

    The other symbol looks like an A to me.

    This is not a hallmark! Maker’s mark, that is totally different:)
    Somewhat like saying a piece is SIGNED China;)

    I've had this. I sort of half remember it being a French maker.

    I only know French maker's marks in lozenge shapes though. In precious metals that is.

    Mine wasn't precious, but costume - I still can't remember who.

    A square maker's mark in France means silver plated. Maybe the gold color is tarnish? Just throwing this out there. I have no idea.
