Ran across this 8" bear planter with honey pot and blue bow at the flea market Tuesday. My first thought was Royal Copley due to the 3 runners on the bottom but couldn't find him in my one and only RC book by Devine. I believe FAPCo also had the runners and look through the photos on the FB page with no luck. Would anyone happen to have any info about this planter? TIA[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I checked my American Bisque book but didn't see it there.

I considered AB but thought their runners were wedge shaped therefore didn't look in my book. Thanks for checking for me.

Would it be something that flowers were sent in by FTD and the like?

It's possible but this is not the lightweight ceramics that I normally associate with FTD items. I'm fairly certain this was produced in the 50's or 60's....Carl

It looks familiar to me and I'd guess that time range as well.

That's what it looks like to me too - florist ware of some kind.

Thanks KingofThings. Definitely the same bear. I'll see if I can find that listing. I didn't realize that Lane did this type of pottery but I suppose they did considerinfg I associated them more with TV Lamps planters

Awesome. It has been my experience that Lane is usually marked. So I search this over real good and found the mark. Difficult to see and read but definitely Lane. Again, thank you very much KingofThings!

It was strange because I was struggling for the name as L-whatever. Lu-RAY is what I was after but I doubted they would've ever done such a thing. Their line was much cleaner and softer in color.

I have found the brown bears, like in the listing, that you can clearly see the mark. Haven't found any black bears.

    Hi,
It could be after Andy Panda who was a big hit in the 1950s. It is floral ware.
