Chinese? porcelain pot

    It’s another whatchamacallit. Haven’t seen a piece like this. I think it’s older-at least early 1900s. Hand painted in multiple colors and the painting is good but not excellent. Floral and ribbons. About 9” in diameter. Finial is loose and there was some glue residue. The lid and finial connect with a piece of bamboo, possibly to let out steam??
    I’m thinking Chinese. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    Could be Chinese or possibly French. Not English.

    From the decor I was thinking French too.
