Hi, i acquired this miniature flower bowl with lid at a local thrift shop. I noticed it was marked Rj co france at the bottom. when i tried researching that Rj co i could not find anything about the company or any pieces like mine anywhere online. Anyone heard of this company? Also how old? If anyone has any info that would be great thanks!

It's flowered, but looks like it may be for powder. Guessing also made for export as Co. is not the abbreviation for Compagnie.

I see so what does the RJ stand for?

Possibly, the name of the company that exported it from France into another country or it could be the decorating company that added the flowers and trim.

Any idea of age? Also what would you call this? Flower bowl with lid?

What's the size rink28? It could be a dresser dish for things like hairpins or trinkets. A larger piece might be a candy dish. There are many companies in France that specialize in decorating porcelain rather than manufacturing it. As far as I know there is no reference index for these companies.

Rink - this definitely is not intended to hold flowers.

Thanks all for the responses. Bakersgma I meant the hand painted flowers. I know it's way too small for that sorry I should of worded that differently
