MIJ covered dish - modern?

    Today's find. 6" diameter covered dish, no chips or cracks. Is this modern? Made In Japan in black on bottom with stylized chrysanthemum in a circle. (I couldn't find it on Gotheborg site so that's why I think it's modern.)

    What do you mean by modern?
    I don't think I would put it past the 1970s. Could be as early as the 1940s.
    Just my guessing.

    Wow. I thought it was made last year. It's in perfect condition. Another freebie from the Swap Shop at the dump. I have a theory that someone is dropping off one good piece or one antique at a time. As long as I'm the only collector haunting the place, I get to scoop up the goodies. It's run by volunteers.
