Anyone recognise the clear but odd mark on these? Bit of a South Western look going on.

Yippee! Thank you. I thought they had a bit of a Zuni thing with that sun disc. Splendid. Keepers. ;)

    very beautiful!! definitely keepers!
I love the hallmark too- I thought it was a bumblebee at first (haha woops), but after looking it up I see it's supposed to be a fleur de lis!

WOW could not call that bad at all! - a quick search on ebay (since I'm not familiar with zuni jewelry) tells me that Frank Vacit pieces are quite valuable! Congrats on the find!
They look quite heavy- are they a wearable weight? Just gorgeous!

I have no holes in my ears, so they'll go on adaptors. Not heavy at all, and very well made.

Yeah, I googled the prices too. Pleasing!

Nice! nothing worse than beautiful earrings too heavy to wear! (well of course there are worse things in the literal sense but in terms of jewelry related woes:p)

My great granny passed down a set of gold and jet earrings that no one in the family can wear due to the weight ! Her earlobes must have dangled like Buddha ! I told my mom to have them made into something else but she doesnt want to "ruin" them.Seems silly to me,whats the point of having something you cant enjoy ?

Jet doesn't weigh much; if the earrings are heavy odds are better that they're onyx, obsidian, or "french jet" (glass).

As for Bear's earrings, yeppers! Score!

I could see it being that too- more likely than bumblebee in any case!:hilarious:

Looks like there is another mark on the lower back, could be L6 but it's very small. The construction seems a little strange also, cast back with constructed top.
