Is this a bookmark or something else?

It's awful thick for a bookmark. And what letter is it?

Btw, it is sterling and needs a serious cleaning.

I never carry that much money, so it never occurred to me.

 

money clip.......yuppers..
but......i've seen them as napkin holders too....

Looks more like a "G".

 

And here I was thinking it might be G. R will be a lot easier to sell.

and says...........I can't imagine what else it might be.......
so....same item......not a book mark.

 

Looking at calligraphy alphabets, it could be a B too.

 

My DH uses money clips and I gotta say that I'd hate to see the damage he would do to a pant's pocket with all those sharp points! Lucky me his initials are DJC - LOL

I really couldn't think it was a bookmark because it was too thick.

Based on the types of things that SSMC made, i would certainly think that this was a NAPKIN CLIP.

(I have several, but mine were made by a different company.)

 

Based on size, napkin clip is much more likely than money clip.

 

Ok, I'm convinced it's a napkin clip. What about the letter. R or B?
