    Hey guys

Can anyone shed any light on who these ballet sketches might be by

Don't think they are anything special, but can't find any like them

    Many thanks

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

The signature looks a little different in different places on your two pictures. I wonder which one is correct?

I am not convinced that these are "originals." They look more like prints to me.

I think the border one is the clearest, and looks more like a H,

I'm glad you did, Charlie. What made me think not has to do with the lines around the images which seem to imitate matting. Plus, why would the artist sign both in the image and on the "mat" as on the first one. Have you considered taking the first one out of the frame? The frame is way too small.

Looking again at the first, it looks like it's been trimmed to fit. There's something like the other one written in a gap in the border line at the bottom.

Just checked bakers and your right, the info on the 1st has been trimmed to fit the frame

I don't think the artist is known like I hoped, so I'll probably keep them like they are

Jivvy the research is my favorite

It's odd how different the mat signature is... like a completely different hand/name.

I think they are lovely. Lots of folks buy these kinds of art work if they are dancers or into ballet. :)

My impression was that they might be prints, too. There are printing processes that have been used throughout the 20th century that don't show dots under a loupe. They're better quality prints, but mass-produced and not originals.
