Any Information on 1879 Russian(?) Jewish Book?

Google translate from an image attempts it. Appears to be the Book of Leviticus. Most of the text describes features of the translation. Warsaw appears near the bottom.

 

I think that in Russia they still do church service in Church Slavonic. At least this is what Meduza said in 2016 (Russian opposition media now broadcasting from abroad).

Church Slavonic is the old Bulgarian, an outdated language just like the ancient Greek, because languages develop and change. Even the Bulgarians have to study it in order to read properly old texts. Modern Greeks also have to study ancient Greek for this purpose.

Probably worse than conducting services here in Chaucerian English. We 'Murricans often don't even understand current usage and need translations for WWII-standard language. (and most kids can't read modern script. )
