    Hi all,

I have got an old sketch, in bad shape. I don 't know if it is worth restoring.

I think it's Christ entering Jerusalem. Or it could be something else because of it's Christ, hé has no beard....

It's also signed, but can 't read it ....

    All thoughts are welcome!

Looks like a sepia wash with white highlights and it's very faded.

In terms of restoring, you're only going to be able to do so much with it. You could have the tears stabilized.

If it's not framed already, you'd be best served by having a good frame shop frame it. Putting it under glass and keeping it from sunlight will help preserve it. If it is framed, hopefully it has an acid free mount.

What are the dimensions and how did you come across the piece?

Can you show photos of full front back... Mostly for curiosity's sake.

Thanks a lot! Any thoughts on the maker or period?

The drawing isn't that large. About 20 x 30 cm. I found it at a second hand store.

A better photo (definitely a larger one) might be helpful. Also, a larger photo of the sig might help.
