Antique Hand Painte Bird Plate Came From 100 Year Old Woman Home

This plate came out of the home of a 100 year old woman about 25 or 30 years ago.I can't remember the exact year.I t was wrapped up in paper,look like at one time there was some type of old label on back.I hit it and know a small piece off.There's some type of letters or date not sure.

 

My best guess is that the painting and the gold initials were added by an amateur hobbyist. I don't know if it would be possible to identify who made the blank plate.

When something has been decorated by a hobbyist, it doesn't matter who made the blank.

With that big hunk missing, this basically has no value.

 

Just an observation.

I get calls from people selling their parent’s, grandparent’s and items from their relatives from further back. They tell me my mother was 80 years old or my grandmother was 80 when she died 20 years ago.

I can’t say how many times I go and find a mound of Chico’s jewelry. We have to remember, just because someone is 80 doesn’t mean their families didn’t give them gifts last year.
