This is on a local listing with a variety of items, some antique, and seller said, "contact me for pricing" so I just emailed asked about this lamp. I have no idea how they are going to price it, but wanted to do a tiny bit of research so at least had an idea of how comparables were selling. Not even sure what to call this type of lamp, or if this kind of shade has a name. It almost looks like it could be a repro, but cord maybe looks older. I only have the one photo from the listing so hard to see details. What would I call this type of shade for a start? General thoughts welcome. Thanks.

A google lens search shows a bunch of them out there with different finishes and globes. Joan of Arc is what some are described as. Seems to have been a popular design that was copied many times.

Super helpful, Kronos. Thank you. :) I am finding others now after searching "Joan of Arc lamp". Gives me a general idea of resale value. I appreciate the help. I haven't found this exact shade, but I'm definitely more educated about resale value.

Hey we could use more snow. Send it this way!

In my humble opinion its not well made looking,so Id guess 80's deco maybe? Of course that could be the pic.

Repro was my first thought, like the mold or whatever wasn't crisp. But the photo is blurry so could be the photo, too. Also, I swear I've seen those glass shades before on antique pieces. Sounds like they made many versions of this Joan of Arc lamp, so I would positively have to see it in person and I think that would resolve the age.

It was an online ad with other things too. So far the seller hasn't responded to my question so who knows. If they do write back and the offer is anything reasonable for an older piece, I'll arrange to see it in person. I'm glad to have some sense of the value if it is an antique. I saw one that sold for $200 on Ebay, but another for $80, so if this one is antique and has a good look when I see it, would have to be completely affordable, and definitely with a flawless shade. I don't think it is the greatest resale item, esp. when one factors in shipping, so really would need to be inexpensive. Will report back if I go.

That's a good of descriptor, Komokwa. Thanks!
