Hi everyone! I have this big basket (17 inches across) that looks pretty old and I’m wondering where it came from and what your best guess is of it’s age? It’s not in the best condition but I feel as though it could be valuable due to its age. What do you think? Thank you so much! 1798F064-79D3-479D-9FA1-AA4349CFC2AD.jpeg 4E264B42-13CA-452A-9562-F3CAC92EF4A5.jpeg 26BB80D6-4950-4C42-A52A-C1B5DAA24993.jpeg

This does show sign of age. These baskets were plentiful so no great value especial with damage. Native American baskets are different they can be valuable even with damage.

    Appalachian oak splint buttocks basket.....
circa 1930's , give or take a decade....

    well used ......too well used...

in basket collecting condition trumps age......most often....
    and like I say....
a broken basket will always be just that, a broken basket !
This one is roached and has lost the majority of it's value to a collector.
