Any Worthpoint members here ? J Thompson Hartshorne Pottery mug .

Hi All ! I have a J. THOMPSON HARTSHORNE POTTERY mug with the same transfer printed scene on it and the only other pieces I can find are in museums and/or already sold at auctions. I was hoping someone here had an account and could look up the price this similar piece sold for.

Antique Hartshorne Potteries black transfer cream ware jug
This English jug was made by J. Thompson of Harsthorne Potteries. The company was started in 1818. The jug is 4 inches tall and 4 � inches across including the handle and spout. The jug has a black transfer on a yellowish ground. The bottom of the jug is hallmarked J. Thompson Hartshorne pottery near Ashby de Le Louch. We believe this dates circa 1825. There are 4 small hairline cracks on the bottom. There

Hi Greg, I'm guessing it's a mug at 4" high and 5+1/2" across including the handle.

 

I have what must be a part of the same pottery line except mine is a creamer. No hairlines but the transfer on mine was smudged in a few areas at the time of its firing. Thank you for dating it.
