yah probably dont want to keep that outside too long . Dont tell me you scored that at a thrift store...
Is there a better site to sell antique furniture I have it on eBay didn’t know if there was a more specific site that specializes in furniture
I am quite impressed by the design of that table and chairs set. It is perfect for a small table and chairs in a small space. I'm just curious . . . do you think more than two chairs (perhaps four chairs) would "fit" around/under the table?
There were four chairs in the 1stdibs picture from the url Debora posted earlier...you can become even more impressed with the design..the only problem being you only get three legs per chair.
If that was in my nook I could deal with 3 legs per chair. I think I’ve seen teak sets like this that had options for a top-slide drawer in lieu of chairs, to be more “desk like”. It’s been a while though and it may have been a different style.
That's pretty sweet. I'd have it on Offerup, 1stdibs, Craigslist or something similar. Ebay Local pickup isn't that great. It depends on where the OP is. It might be worth selling this to a furniture dealer if you can do a fast flip and let them take the slow dollar instead of the fast dime.
You can post an ad on designaddict.com. They do have professional dealers similar to 1st Dibs, but have options if you are not. I inquired a couple years ago and they were very nice - and cheap! They are in Brussels, so I wondered if it made sense for us to sell with them, here's what they said: Design Addict is based in Europe which is why we have mostly European dealers. This explains why American dealers believe the website only concerns European visitors. But if you look at our statistics (see screenshot below), USA brings the most important part of our visitors. Therefore, we definitely think it should be interesting for your client. I'll attach the rate sheet they sent me - old, but as you can see, very inexpensive. They have GREAT forums on identification and design and repair, if kind of effete. Welcome, @Dragontraine - nice table!
You lucky duck I love it. This might be sacrilege to say on an antique forum, but Scandi MCM is my favorite. Not sure if you dealt with Scandi stuff so I will just say do not mess with it. Dont clean it, rub any oil on it to spruce it up for pics, or really anything unless you absolutely know what you are doing with that exact piece. From my personal experience they are quite picky on how each piece should be handled (and I dont blame them) and making it shiny with some teak oil for picks could possibly hurt your sale and have the buyer stripping it off. I would list it on Etsy, my local craigs, ebay. I have never worked with 1stdibs but maybe them too. Also I would throw it up on designaddict.com as others have suggested as that crowd is your target market. Also be ready to sit on it depending on your price, and also the price on 1stdibs is usually at least double what I could get in my local market, so depending on where you are keep that in mind. Great find and I am a bit jealous lol
