What is this embroidery called?

    [​IMG] Can someone please tell me what this type of embroidery is called? It seems like it’s made of yarn or wool. Also, do you know what decade it’s from? The 70s? I’ve included a link to the picture for assistance. Thank you!

    It's needlepoint, not embroidery, quite possibly from a kit or a pre-printed canvas.

    No, it was framed by hand, so there are no markings.

    Given the colorway, I'd think 1970s very likely.
