So i have 3 sideboards and it had the stag metal stamp and chrome handles. Ive found exactly the same one online thats stag s range by john and sylvia reid from 1950 1960s . Ive searched everywhere and only one matching is online. Can anyone give me anymore info on this the handles are inset different to the ones that are standard . Ive attached the picture of mine and the black one is the one i found that matches it .

Stag was made to order. (I know, I've got some!) It may well be that your different handles were a customer option. It's really nice stuff.

I see lots of differences between the two pieces you showed besides the handles (namely legs and case construction), though I don't have experience with Stag to know which is which. I have seen other manufacturers with similar metal drawer pulls arranged like that. But if yours are marked by the maker ("stag metal stamp"?), then I don't think you need to look much further.

Stag used a little metal plaque.

I'd be looking for a retro furniture shop or a decent local auction. Give me a hint where you are.

Oh, loads of retro shops there - North Lanes. Or try Tooveys Auctioneers over in Lewes, see what they think.
