Featured Japanese Paperweight

    My first and probably only paperweight ! I can actually use one. I think it's probably quite recent. Looks to be a reproduction of a work or done in the style of Kitagawa Utamaro, who did paintings and wood block prints in the ukiyo-e style. Anyway, just thought I'd put it up for fans of paperweights.
    Someone on Ruby Lane has an identical one for what seems the exorbitant sum of $99.

    Quite pretty. I'm sure you'll enjoy her coyly looking up at you while you do paperwork.

    She may start to look annoyed when the west wind blows through the open window in warm weather, disturbing her hair !

    It's still a bit too cool here to be throwing open the window. Soon (I hope), as it's been a long winter. Where some are enjoying cherry blossoms, we are simply enjoying the occasional sunny day.
