Going to try to sell a few things REALLY CHEAP on a local site, but just wanted to check this decanter with you first. I think it's just a hunk of glass. No marks at all that I could find, really heavy. 9.5" tall to top of stopper and 6" diameter at base. And yes, although the pic looks huge, there is a tiny chip in the stopper.

It looks like a nice decanter, but without an ID, it's very generic in shape. You know what shipping anywhere will cost. Where is the chip on the stopper: up where it's visible , or down where it's hidden?

Well, the whole idea of this site is that people will come and pick it up -- so no shipping. Generic -- that's what I think. Going to try to sell it for $5. Unfortunately, the chip is near the top, but quite small and not hugely noticeable. This was something from my parents' townhouse clear out. DH has given the order to de-clutter as I haven't really moved much stuff out... :D

Heck, I would try and sell for $10 and negotiate down to $5 if need be. It looks like a very nice decanter and I wouldn't think that the tiny ding would be much of a factor.

Yeah, thanks and normally I would but this local site is really for garage sale/flea market prices, LOL! And I gotta lot of stuff that I need to move this summer while I'm off regular work. Too bad it's not the best selling time...

Gotta worm into that tourist market.

Sadly, Bob, Victoria is no longer a tourist destination stop for vintage and antique hunters. The advent of selling online put an end to many/most of the B&M shops that drew the tourists to them... It's just gotta GO, GO, GO or DH will throw it out!
