Found a frog today. Could it be white jade russet? Any input welcome

    It is a cute froggy and it has russet spots, but I am not too sure it is russet jade. Have you tried to make a tiny scratch with a knife on the bottom? Please be careful if you do.
    If you have a gem tester you can use that to test the hardness.

    The term is russet jade btw, not jade russet.;) The russet stains are often faked nowadays.:(
