Need Help in Identifying this figurine...Meissen? Date?

I was wondering if anyone can give me more information about this figurine. I believe it is a vase and I have a little male figurine that looks like a pair to this one or in the same style. I was hoping someone could help me date this and give me insight on what this piece is.

A crossed sword mark, often associated with Meissen, but widely used.
This doesn't look like Meissen to my inexpert eyes, but let's wait for those who actually know.

So my inexpert eyes were right. It is cute, but lacks the Meissen finesse, and the fingers aren't separate.
But that doesn't answer ct's question as to date etc.

 

I think Mr. Nicholas Zumbulyadis was triggered by that figurine !

 

20th c, I reckon, first half or so. Has a Hummel look to it. Although, that light blue colour used in the mark always makes me think Japanese, but I'm thinking a continental imitation. Might have had a sticker for country of origin.

 

So much so that he forgot his manners.
I have those moments, but I learned to count to ten, which is a great tool when the blood pressure rises.
