Help to ID old basket

    Does this type of basket look familiar? I haven't found a similar one online. It's not in perfect condition, but the weaving is amazing, very fine and detailed. It measures about 10" wide, 9" high. Also, can I wash it in the sink with a gentle spray of water without damaging it? Thanks for any help basket.JPG basketa.JPG basketb.JPG .
