    any ideas on this plate? no markings approx 6"

    I'm going to guess Austria or thereabouts and around 1940. Hopefully someone who know these things will be along soon.

    To me, that plate has a Midlands accent, born somewhere in the late 19th C.

    I'm with cluttered on this one - Nippon. Try googling "Nippon cobalt roses plate".

    I agree - Nippon. I have a two handled soup with underplate just like this - did a little research when I bought it.
