Two sets of heavy metal bookends.

Part of the stuff from the house we cleared out last week. I think I mentioned we did them a favor and spent two days taking trash to the dumb & clothing to thrifts and came back the third day to find the neighbors had invited a dealer and she'd filled her pickup with most of the good stuff in our absence. The family was so distraught over the loss of their father, we didn't have the heart to complain. I'm sorting through the leavings to see if there's anything worth selling.

 

The first ones are "Praying Hands" based on the drawing by Durer. That drawing has been converted into just about everything a drawing can be converted into. (You can find some quite maudlin back stories online.)

I don't know as it's effective taking 'trash to the dumb' - rather like taking coals to Newcastle.

 

OH, I really needed that laugh. Been out trimming bushes & doing yard work. Came in for a root beer break.

 

I read your title as "heavy metal" bookends and said "say what?"

 

They'd probably sell better if they said AC/DC on them!!
