Stamp on ring

    This is idle curiosity for my education as ring is damaged- The band is gold plated which is presumably what those arrows mean but any ideas what that central box indicates please?

    That looks like a rabbit. The Czechs, if memory serves, use a rabbit's head as a silver mark for .800 silver. They don't use the whole rabbit though. It might be a maker's mark.

    Now it looks like an upside-down rabbit.(LOL) It's not one I know....and have you tested the ring? It looks awfully good for gold-fill. Someone else may know whodunnit.

    There was me expecting the normal superior outstanding level of slightly obscure but unbelievably accurate information from you about how some long lost Tibetan tribe fashioned it out of the tears of their ancestors and an old coconut and what do I get.......'it looks like a dinosaur'.....:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

    It is a bird's head I am almost certain I've seen it around before but do not remember what country uses it.
