was hoping someone might be able to give me some information on this tray. highly detailed with 12 scenes around the inside and a large scene on the inside bottom with sail boats, houses, trees, and windmills.
measures 12 1/4" x 6 1/4" also is all this work stamped into the plating?

Warren Silver Plate was a trademark of Wm. A. Rogers Co.

Rainwater says "first used in 1901...for their medium grade hollowware." It may have been acquired by Oneida when they purchased the Rogers firm in the late 1920's, but I don't see any reference in her Oneida section that indicates that use was continued.

Hard to see the details of the center scene.

Cute! And rather different from the overall curlicues you see on more modern trays.

I do have to wonder, though, whether it would have made economic sense to employ people to hand-engrave in that much detail on what was not high-end product. I know everything was much cheaper, but still...

Doh! You know, I did know that. But jumping back and forth between here and elsewhere I got out of the habit.

I am not sure if it was engraved either, There is so much detail. there is 12 scenes around the inside plus the large one.

The design/pattern would have been machine stamped and then plated - circa 1920s 'Dutch Reproduction' bread tray.
