My wife picked this up at an estate sale last weekend. I can not find one like it anywhere I search. Pictures are attached (I hope). Anyone have any idea of the age or how I should describe it to friends? She did not pay very much for it.
She did make up for buying this chair by finding me a very nice Webcor record player :)

    Thank you,
    Brad

I flipped and enlarged your photo. Furniture folks will appreciate seeing more pictures, such as the bottom and back. Check Full Image for best results.

Here is a bottom picture. The wife did not take pictures of the back, I'll ask her to do that tomorrow, storming right now.

And thank you very much for your help!

I think a circa 1930 dining chair. Part of a set. Some Spanish influence but no pure style.

In my humble opinion its a 1920s jacobean revival banister back
armchair worth about 260$us made in the usa.

In what parallel universe? Would be very lucky to get $40.00 if in excellent condition in my market.

"Same" company? No one has mentioned a maker for the OP's chair. Would you care to enlighten us? How about a link to the listing?

Agree on the $30 as well. The detailing I can get from the photos just doesn't scream higher end.
