    Hey Guys,
Picked up this old cast iron piece recently. My gut tells me it's an unmarked Griswold. I feel that way because of the handle. Would love to know if I'm wrong? And would also like to know more about what it's used for?

    Thank you IMG_20190514_181711438-1322x1763.jpg IMG_20190514_203115870-1322x1763.jpg

I think it could be for eggs. Hung in a pan of water. But I don't cook, so that is a pure guess.

Glad to see how it is spelled.
I've always called it an Apple skiver pan.

Here's a cute Japanese version used for takoyaki - same kind of deal, made with octopus...

Guess you never had an octopus stuck to your diving mask with it's tentacles wrapped around the back of your head. Took it and a couple of it's buddies to the Mad Greek restaurant in Honolulu and they cooked them up right for us.

It attacked in open water with no provocation from us,we were on our way to a cave to pet a reef shark.

Sounds like something I'd like to try to make

Any insight on whether this is accurately described as a Griswold vs any other earlier unmarked iron?
