    Thw decoration of the bowl reminds me of a type of middle eastern pottery. Any thought on either is greatly appreciated.

    Could the bowl be Iznik instead of Chinese?

    The top one has the Chinese character for long life written in good calligraphy. It's rare for non-Asian decorations to show good calligraphy.

    The lower is marked 九谷彰荣 “KutaniShoei."
