hi everyone, I picked this painting up today, does anyone Recognize the signature? it's hard to make out. there is aboutique an inch tear too..

Entirely possible that thanking @Debora for "mews house" (which I had not known as A Thing) is my biggest contribution to this thread.

EDIT: Now I'm stuck trying to remember which show I watched that was partially shot (OBVIOUSLY) in a Mews House. I never could sort the layout.

 

Here's some listed on an internet blog: "The pink house in St Luke’s Mews in Notting Hill features as Keira Knightley’s character’s home in Love Actually, and the house at the end of Stanhope Mews South in South Kensington is Harry’s house in Kingsman: The Secret Service. Holland Park Mews is also used in an episode of The Crown."

I really want to say it was something with time travel. I was thinking Dr. Who (current run), but can't nail it.

And who knew that there's a web site dedicated to Dr. Who filming location? (Well, I didn't!) Here's the only mews listed from an early -- 1966 -- episode.

I'll probably go mad trying to remember and in the end, it won't have been a mews at all.

Yes, Whitby too, and I was thinking of Staithes as well, but couldn't find a photo with a similar street.
