Help With Purple Glass Vase

Is this something old? Something new? Something borrowed something purple? Looked interesting enough.

 

That was my first thought until I saw the bottom.
Not sure.

 

I am pretty certain it is not Fenton, as they never would have that rough base. But it is cased glass, purple over the lighter color, which adds value and interest. Age is hard to tell, but probably vintage, IMO.

Jaena, the bottom nay look rough but it is smooth.

I did a little poking around and found out that China produced fake Fenton cased glass reverse melon vases, so you might want to research that matter.
