Signed Pot - Cherokee?

    This handmade pot is 5 1/4" tall and is signed Helen Smith on the bottom. A google lens search turns up Cherokee pottery, but Helen Smith comes up as a Cherokee basket weaver, not a potter. Maybe I'm searching in the wrong direction. All help appreciated!

    "Helen Bradley Smith (1922-2007) was a Cherokee basket weaver who was proficient in white oak, honeysuckle, and rivercane basketry, including the double weave technique. She also did pottery, beadwork, and finger weaving."

    It does look like modern Cherokee pottery that I have seen. The design she used may have been inspired by her basket work.
