Small rectangular metal lid, enamel or cloisonne.

Why I'm drawn to things like this, not sure. I keep thinking my friend can use it in her glass craft boxes. Was $1 at a sale.

And I always get confused about what exactly cloisonne is. I think the metal is copper.

Older? Has some markings on the back. Part looks like just a hobbyist piece with the initials, but the numbering reminds me of an older piece. Small hole in the top.

Assume this was a lid for something? Anyone seen similar? Sorry for the slightly blurry first photo.

 

I'd probably start looking at French champlevé, maybe late 19th-early 20th century, perhaps a panel off a box or ???...

In cloisonne, areas of enamel are enclosed in wire frames. Does that help as a mnemonic?

I'm with Cheryl, French champlevé, probably late 19th century. Love it, I would stick it on a wooden box.
