I bought this at an antique mall and was wondering if anyone had seen one before. It is about 8" tall and seems to be injection molded, like a Barbie Doll. The hood and boots seem to be leather and the the backing of the clothing seems to be real hide of some sort. I am not sure on the fir, I would assume it was artificial. I don't know what kind of animal would have fir like that. I am guessing it dates to the 1960's. I was wondering if the words on the box were real or sort of just made up to sound authentic. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Traditionally, Packing Dolls were made by young girls as a way to introduce them to the art of stitching, which was essential for the survival of their people , they carry with them the tradition and culture of the people of Taloyoak, Nunavut.

I don't care if it's not a packing doll, and thanks for showing what those are.
It reminds me of a Hula doll. Don't list it too cheap to start on auction format and best luck for high bidders!
