    Hello again,

I’ve found this brooch online. It’s oval in shape and about the size of a quarter. The seller thinks it’s old but no ballpark idea on the age. They are also unsure of the maker or even what type of material it is.

I like how it reminds me of an egg and the simplicity, had anyone seen anything like it? B2DA07F7-9EE6-436F-B72B-5BD45B10B70F.jpeg 72939EFC-5776-4FFB-B88C-E8D80225BE2A.jpeg

    Looks like glass.
May have been a glass button.
    Early 1900s???
    Stencil is badly worn off.
    Minimal value.

I'm with cluttered on material, bad condition, and value. It could be late 1800s.

It never crossed my mind on the possibility of this being a worn down button.

What do you make of these others? Worth picking up? Similar stories...not a clue for age or composition.

At the turn of the century, china painting was very fashionable.
They also had blanks for jewelry.
In fact Collector Books put out a book many years ago on hand painted jewelry/pins. Can't remember the title, sorry.
The one that is signed makes me think that the two oval white glass pieces are hobbyist.

The signed one looks Russian to me. I don't remember the name of the town, maybe it'll come to me later.
