Clear Glass Mixing Bowl

I have a clear glass mixing bowl. First, I could not imagine someone mixing something in this bowl because it is so heavy even without ingredients inside this mixing bowl. My dad past away and my mom and I are finally going through moving boxes from Texas back in the 1970s to West Virginia. My mom guessed it might be 6 quarts. I filled it up with 4 cups 4 times or 4 quarts and it filled it up to the lower rim and I then continued to fill it up with 4 cups 2 more times for a total of 4 cups 6 times or 6 quarts to the top rim or brim. Would this be considered 4 or 6 quart mixing bowl? The only markings I saw was on the bottom ARC. Is that for Arcoco company or France ARC? The top rim or brim is around 11 1/2" diameter, the bottom is nearly 5 1/2" and the bowl's height is nearly 5 1/8". I was unable to find it online and hoped someone could help with a range price value of its worth? Would this have been part of a set? Thank you for assistance in this request. Rob

I have a bowl just like this one only it's smaller. I bought it in one of those very popular kitchen item stores back in 1978. TallCakes is correct it's Luminarc or Arcoroc from France. They made tons of inexpensive, yet extremely sturdy kitchen glassware and I think they still do.

Back then, you could buy a whole set or you could buy just the size you wanted. I didn't want the other sizes, so just got the one. I still have it and still use it.

As stated above, you use this one for making bread or for huge batches of cookies. You can stir or knead and the bowl doesn't move around. It sits still even with some seriously strenuous stirring.

It's not worth much though, so unless you would like to use it, you could just donate it or give it to someone.
