Horse Sculpture Info Needed

I received a box of old family items and this Horse Sculpture was in it. The Sculpture looks like it was made from the hoof and bone of a horse. Any info would be appreciated.

Size?? Looks like water buffalo horn.

It reminds me of something that someone once brought me from Haiti.

I'm not seeing horse here. Maybe a sea creature?

Here’s one along the same lines.

exactly..!

Definitely not a horses hoof.

Have to agree that it must be something like that.
Otherwise, I feel sorry for the horse if that was hoof and legbone. He would have been really deformed.

12” tall. 4” wide at base

A horses hoof isn’t a complete capsule , it has a gap at the heel where the horn turns in. This allows the hoof to expand and the horse to absorb concussion every time it’s hoof hits the floor.
