Question about hair combs...

How can I tell whether a vintage/antique hair comb is TRULY vintage/antique? There are so many places making replica vintage items...I only own one but I’ve seen a few online I like but I don’t want to spend $50 on a comb they paid 33 cents for ya know? Also if anyone on here has any that are cheap hehe let me know. (I can’t afford $50 for a comb I was just exaggerating )....I really like the metal cloissons butterfly comb I have and was looking for more....hopefully this one is real

 

There is no magic bullet, experience and research are your friends. Buy some books, look in antique shops, expect to make lots of mistakes. In other words, welcome to the club!
