    Welcome to the forum, Rob!
Your pretty plate is 19th century, not 18th century.

    Per thepotteries dot org:

"Majolica was first produced by Wedgwood in 1860 and continued until 1940. Pattern and shape are useful more in elimination of a range of dates than in assigning one."
It is Majolica, so post-1860. Pattern name is Sunflower and apparently, it was one of the more popular patterns. There is one just like yours up for sale on bEtsy right now for $85 US. The Sunflower plates with the brown/yellow centers can bring a higher amount.

"After 1891 the word ENGLAND is added to the WEDGWOOD mark continuing until 1908 when the words MADE IN ENGLAND replace it in all cases. MADE IN ENGLAND commenced appearing on some wares as early as 1898 but is not in general use until 1908."
I don't see and ENGLAND or MADE IN ENGLAND mark on your piece, so pre-1891.

Your piece does appear to have the three letter date mark but I can only make out the middle letter W. It's the last letter that helps with dating.

Thanks for the responses, it was the lack of a definate three letter mark (looks like JW then 2, the 2 is not imprinted like the other characters) and the curvy looking wedgwood stamp that threw me, but as you say it must be 19th c due to the plates not being made before then.

Mid to late 19th. Quite common here and several factories made sunflower. I like them.
