    The Cutty Sark is a famous tea clipper, called after a character in the Robert Burns poem 'Tam o'Shanter'. The ship was the fastest ship in the world at some stage.

    a friend found this for me - the nutcracker is 30"H. the light is 38"H. I've never seen one this size with a light before

    I've never seen a nutcracker with a light before. How unusual!

    Are those other goodies on the table yours as well? Bakelite napkin ring, etc?

    He's a lamplighter. Nice change from soldier. Company probably makes all sorts of characters.

    Was at the thrift store yesterday. Would call the stuff on their shelves junk, but I think that would be unkind to junk.

    I was in two today - one Ill Will and a charity thrift. Spent 50 cents total. The Ill Will had two jars this morning, but someone bought them while I was at the dentist getting my teeth cleaned. (insult to injury much?)

    I know those jars held nothing of value or they would have been there for you after the dentist. I have only found two of those jars that were worth my while in the last 5 years. And they weren't all that much, just a bit more than I paid for them.
