Bev aka thelmasstuff Colored pencil artist extraordinaire ;)

I tend to buy box lots if there's one or two items I like and then I sell the rest. If I don't, I end up with undesirable box lots all over the house.

Have cut down on real life shows and don't really lug big furniture et al around any more. But I love shows, just gives a great sense of what people look for, what they buy, and the community of dealers have become good friends so it's a social event as well as buying and selling. Pic from July show in Atlanta, barely got through it with knee issues and so a lighter than normal load. Best quilt I've had in years, ca. 1890s and PA, never washed or used. Ironstone is my mainstay though, sell to all ages and all sexes. 003.JPG 004.JPG

And by one vote, pictures it is.

They are tantalisingly confusing, just a load of odds and ends. What looks white is usually Ivory, what looks silver is usually silver. Slightly larger than usual pictures, click to enlarge. It's all, left half, right half. 1-1-P1040700.JPG

The gauge is a large pocket anaeroid barometer.

The oval portrait of a man in costume... the last name in the signature looks like Waller. Is that Lewis Waller? Is (or was) the item a piece of jewelry, or is it a small picture frame? And from what material is it made? (You might be able to tell that I like it...)

I like the little guitar, too.

It's a painted miniature of some C.1900 music hall artist.or an actor. Could be Waller, I can't remember, just that he was quite well known at the time. It's in a little picture frame

Is that a pressed horn box? The circular one with the portrait top near all those bracelets?

Under certain circumstances. I think It was at that same fair where I sold a RH box. It had a certificate saying it was genuine and pre whatever date applied, from the British gov. testing lab.

I am wondering about these two chunks, though. They are roughly sawn and I need to polish some surfaces for microscope examination.
