Hi all :) I’m totally baffled by this one… I have posted it before but have just come across it again. I’m going to post it on the other forums, it looks to me like an urn it’s definitely had something burnt in it but has some rune looking symbols on it

My next question is, what do they mean by "auspicious symbols"?

    From that link:

"Not convinced it's Oriental. Is it a burnished clay, rather than glazed, and made by the pinch pot method, rather than wheel turned, moulded or slip cast? If so it could be Barro negro pottery ("black clay") eg, from Oaxaca, Mexico"

    Any thoughts on that @TallCakes?

    then bump an old thread.....
    or plead your case....

but posting the same item in different threads......is a little like spamming and is not popular....

I hope you find out what it really is though..

oh my goodness!! Didn’t realise I was doing anything wrong…. So sorry if I offended anyone…. I only wanted an answer…. I figured if I asked the opinion of anyone experienced in pottery and tribal I’d find what I needed…. Doesn’t that make sense!:)
