    Wow! Thank you for finding those! You know, due to the elaborate molding of my Greiner plate, majolica flashed into my mind briefly (but of course the colors are totally un-majolica-ish). I guess someone in that period started a butterfly-on-flower plate design trend!

    @clutteredcloset49 Yes, I knew it was a suggestion only, but the outline of the leaf looks just very much like the Gerbera leaf.
