    Happy day everyone,

First thank you for all the knowledge that is here in this group. You all are amazing. Thanks for being my go to place!
I found this at an estate sale and it just looked different and felt different from other jars that I have seen and purchased. It has almost a bisque texture. The crazing does seem from age. I have never seen the symbol on the bottom before.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. INV1569 (1).jpg INV1569 (2).jpg INV1569 (5).jpg INV1569 (8).jpg

    Made in China and modern.

A modern, decorative piece. A big clue that it's recent is the deep overall crazing.

Sometimes that shape is called a temple jar.

A bit of a pastiche, I'd think. Those motifs don't appear to be traditionally Chinese to my eye. Others are very welcome to disagree.

Thank you for the information. I thought that was a sign of age. I guess now that I think about it my old vases have crazing but not that deep.
Once again I learn something new :pompous:

    and not that....well.....crazy !!!

old age will show crazing that is slapdash....and meanders all over the place.....but not all over , covering the entire surface and base..;)
