So these are a few more items I've acquired in my inheritance lol

I agree. They're all freshwater pearls. The clasps appear to be sterling and probably cost more than the pearls originally.

Majorca pearls are generally costume. The studs are freshwater and sterling. The loosies are more freshwaters. If I had the latter I'd be busily knotting them onto some string with some crystals. :)

Majorica pearls from Mallorca. Lovely expensive faux pearls made from fish scale, usually with precious metal findings and sometimes even diamonds. Google on Perlas Majorica and have a drool. They can retail well into the hundreds.

I forgot that some Majorca pieces have real metal on them; sometimes you'll find sterling bits on even common costume pearls, come to think. Once in a while they even turn up with a gold clasp.

Oh boo.. I thought they were real pearls. However the one I have is very pretty. A shimmery almost irridescent pink/white. I put it on a silver thin chain and just wore it like so

What is the value of the pink pearl studs (I'm assuming not a lot). Just asking because my mother loves pearls and I want to send them to her and I don't wasn't to send crappy pearls. Do you think they are suitable for a woman or more for a teenage girl ?

Hmm I'm not very creative. There aren't many of them though. What color crystals? Help me out!

It's specifically the Majorica with an i pieces that use precious metals and stones. There are other faux pearls made on Mallorca, but they're lower end.

Anything you want that looks good. If you have to go out and buy new, I'd mix them up. You could go with all opaque black too, or a gray-blue. Translucent white opalite. There's no wrong answer.

I've got some I chucked in my costume 'on its way out' bag. I must dig them out and check!
